32^nd Bromley (St Mary’s Hayes) Scout Group

On so many occasions over the past three years uniformed leaders of the 32^nd Bromley Scout Group have been asked by the people of Hayes ‘How is Baz?’ Just asking the question showed the love and affection he was held in. In truth, it was not an easy question to answer as Baz always made light of his problems; he just got up and got on with it, assisted by his wife Jeannette who gave him her love and support throughout his fight with cancer. It pleased him that of the people who asked him directly, so many were scouts during his time with the troop – not surprising when you consider his 25+ years’ association with us.

If Baz were reading this now, he would wonder why we aren’t taking this opportunity to recruit new adult leaders. Don’t worry, old friend, if we can get one of two more like you then all will be well for the future.
